Everything needed to start brewing gongfu-style: a gaiwan, a fair cup and four cups in a matching blue-and-white pattern, in a gift box.

Craftsmanship

Blue-and-white (qinghua) decoration is painted with cobalt pigment directly on the dried, unfired body. The piece is then covered with a clear glaze and fired once at high temperature (around 1,300°C), which turns the pigment blue and seals the pattern under the glaze, so it does not wear off with use.

How to Use

Supplied in a gift box. Wash all pieces in warm water before first use.

Care

Wash by hand with warm water and a soft sponge; avoid abrasive scourers. Do not expose to sudden temperature changes. Hand-made and hand-painted pieces vary slightly in colour, pattern and size; photos are for reference.
