The piece is then covered with a clear glaze and fired once at high temperature (around 1,300\u00b0C), which turns the pigment blue and seals the pattern under the glaze, so it does not wear off with use.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Use<\/h3>\n<p>Warm the cup with hot water before serving tea. Hold small cups by the rim and foot, as the walls can become hot.<\/p>\n<h3>Care<\/h3>\n<p>Wash by hand with warm water and a soft sponge; avoid abrasive scourers. Do not expose to sudden temperature changes.
